The feminine silhouette of the fifties is back, thanks to this falls collections from Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. This look is very done and elegant, and shows off your curves with its tight waists and wide flowing skirts.
I feel very dressed up wearing this kind of look, and as I conveniently was invited to a wedding earlier this month, I decided to get my inspiration from the LV runway.
With a tight budget I also decided to try and make this dress myself. I sat down with my sewing machine for the first time in ten years – with only one piece of clothing worth of experience from that time, and actually finished in time. It might not have actually looked like the dress I was copying, but at least it held together and felt wonderfully to dance in
